Snow Emergency: No On-Street Parking: The City of Oelwein has declared a Snow Emergency effective 6:30 PM Janauary 23, 2021. Parking is available in the downtown at the North Lot.

Outer Road & 6th Street NE Project Scheduled to begin

Work on Outer Road and 6th Street NE is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Fayette County is the lead group on this project, and they have contracted with Mathy Construction for the work. A web page has been created to assist residents in keeping informed on the progress.

The project is expected to be completed in six weeks depending on weather, breakdowns and COVID-19. All of these will impact the schedule.
