Downtown Improvement Program

The City of Oelwein has developed a program using Tax Increment Financing money to provide for forgivable loans for improvments and business development in the downtown area.  Funding eligibility will be ranked on renovation, reconstruction, updating, maintenance, facade improvement and upper story housing.


A public meeting will be held February 15, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at the Community Plaza to review the program and answer any questions.  Check here to review the full program details
