Congratulations to the Oelwein Tree Board

tree board awardThe Oelwein Tree Board was the recent recipient of the "Outstanding Group Award" from the Iowa Urban Tree Council on April 8, 2021.  The Iowa Urban Tree Council gives this award to only one organization a year in the state of Iowa.  The Tree Board was nominated for this award by Trees Forever Representative Patty Reisinger.  

The Tree Board has also been awarded the "Tree City Award" again for their work last year planting and caring for trees in addition to the "Growth Award" for introducing and expanding new programing.  Only 12 communities in the State of Iowa have received the Growth Award this past year.

Congratulations to Tree Board Members Jeff Milks, Bill Brownell, Ron Lenth, Kyle Scheel, Robbie McKeeman, Tom Fick (recently retired) and Parks and Recreation Director Joshua Johnson for a job well done.
