Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator

City of Oelwein is looking for a motivated, team oriented, excellent character individual who takes pride in completion of work. Must have a positive outlook on local government, great work ethic and regular attendance. Candidate will work as assigned in a laboratory, operations, industrial pretreatment, repairs, or installation and maintenance of wastewater facilities. As well as in water treatment, water distribution, sewer collection, streets, and storm sewers. Responsible for laboratory testing, record keeping and wastewater compliance regulation. An emphasis in wastewater, chemistry, science, or related field is a plus. Basic qualifications are educational experience or work experience that will facilitate acquisition of a Grade 4 Iowa Wastewater Certification within 5 years. Pre-employment physical is required along with mandated drug and alcohol testing to acquire an Iowa CDL. Pay range 1st year is $20.85-27.59. Excellent Benefits.
