Board and commission members are volunteer opportunities for the citizens of Oelwein. Members are appointed by the Mayor after receiving letters of interest.
If you are interested in becoming a board or commission member, please submit your application to: Mayor, Oelwein City Hall, 20 Second Avenue SW, Oelwein, Iowa 50662. Interested parties can also call City Hall at 319-283-5440.
Bills can be paid at City Hall either in person or in one of our two drop boxes. One drop box is located near south driveway of the city hall parking lot and the other is near the front door. Bills can also be mailed to City Hall at 20 2nd Avenue SW, Oelwein, IA 50662. For online payments, the city uses PSN for online payments. This is an e-payment system; to utilize the system, click here. Bills can also be paid over the phone by calling (877) 885-7968. Processing fees apply for both online and phone payments.
The Williams Wellness Center is located at 317 8th Avenue SE and has 24 hour accessibility. Fitness facilities include indoor walking track, circuit weight machines, cardio & free weight rooms, gymnasium and racquet ball court. Please visit our Wellness Center page for more information.
The City has numerous shelters throughout our parks that can be reserved for private use. Reservations are taken upon receipt of payment at City Hall, 20 Second Avenue SW, Oelwein. For more information, please visit our Parks page.
